Please note: at this stage, the role is open only to colleagues currently employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts, the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Medway Community Healthcare. Nursing vacancies are also open to Student Nurses and Newly Qualified Nurses.

Hourly Rate:
- Your hourly rate in this role will be £12.92.
- Weekend, Bank Holiday and unsociable working hours (8pm - 6am) will attract an enhanced hourly pay.
Role Details:
We are recruiting for a Facilities Operative at Whitstable & Tankerton Hospital. This 15 hour a week post involves working a 2 week rota pattern, working alternate weekends and shift times from 5.30pm to 8.30pm.
Experience:
- Recent cleaning experience is welcome though not essential.
- A full induction and training programme will be applied at the start of your journey with us.
Pay:
- Working weekends and Bank Holidays attract Enhanced rates of pay.

Eligibility:

Role Description:
This is primarily a hands-on cleaning position where you will learn all the back-ground skills and knowledge to enable you to complete the role, e.g. enhanced and periodic clean training, NHS National Cleaning standards, completion of paperwork, equipment training, COSHH, waste management and basic catering tasks i.e. making and serving of beverages, serving of patient meals.
Future Changes:
Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is due to integrate with Medway Community Healthcare on 1 October 2026. Following integration and to align our community services to the new Neighbourhood Model of care delivery, there will be a period of consultation which may result in changes affecting some services, teams or roles. Depending on the area you are applying to work in, this could include potential changes to your role, work base, reporting arrangements, or terms and conditions of employment.
