The salary scale for a Band 3 has been adjusted as part of the NHS Agenda for Change pay award for 2026/2027 and will be implemented in August 2026 backdated to 01 April 2026 where applicable.

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board has an exciting opportunity to join our Facilities Team as a Facilities Operative within Domestic Services based at Chepstow Community Hospital.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who is committed to enhancing the patient & customer experience, therefore you must have a passion for providing a high level of customer service.
Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
This post is 30 hours per week to be worked 08:00 - 14:30, Monday to Friday.
Main duties of the job
The duties within each function will be set out in the relevant job schedules. The assignment of these duties will meet the priority needs and demands of the service as identified by the manager/supervisor. The post-holder will therefore be expected to take a flexible approach to their duties, and must also be able to cover rosters.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
This post is fixed term for 10 months due to - meet the needs of the service

Education & Training
Essential criteria
- Basic general education
- Literate & Numerate
- Willingness to undertake & complete the ABUHB facilities competency workbook (within 6 months)
- Willingness to undertake & complete statutory & mandatory training including Basic Food Hygiene certificate
- Willingness to undertake future training as required by the post
Desirable criteria
- BIFM/NVQ level 2
