Facilities Operative (Kitchen)

Department: Facilities Management
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Overland Park, Morley
Compensation: £26,250 / year

Description

At Vintage.com, we’re building the most trusted platform for pre-loved items. We help people give valuable things a new life, making the experience simple, transparent and rewarding.

We bring together specialist knowledge, thoughtful technology and genuine care for our customers. By helping more items stay in circulation, we create value for people and make a positive impact at the same time.

Our Facilities Team helps create a safe, welcoming and well-maintained workplace where everyone can do their best work. Based at our Leeds sites, the team supports colleagues and works closely with all teams across the business to maintain clean, hygienic and organised communal, operational and staff spaces.

Why the Role Exists

As a Facilities Operative (Kitchen), you’ll help keep our workplace kitchen and canteen running smoothly day to day.

You’ll support with preparing and serving food, keeping kitchen and dining areas clean and organised, replenishing supplies and completing the checks that help us maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.

This is a practical, hands-on role where you’ll spend most of your day working in the kitchen and canteen environment. You’ll work closely with the Kitchen Team Leader and wider Facilities team, helping service run smoothly and stepping in wherever support is needed.

The work you do has a direct impact on the colleague experience. By providing a friendly service and keeping the kitchen safe, hygienic and well organised, you’ll help create a workplace where people feel looked after.

What Success Looks Like

  • Food is prepared, served and handled safely, consistently and on time.
  • Kitchen, serving and dining areas are kept clean, hygienic and ready to use throughout the working day.
  • Food is stored, labelled and rotated correctly, with required temperature and hygiene checks completed accurately.
  • Food, drinks and day-to-day supplies are replenished during service and shortages are raised early.
  • Food hygiene, allergen and workplace safety procedures are followed consistently.
  • Kitchen, stock, maintenance or safety issues are spotted early and reported to the Kitchen Team Leader.
  • Colleagues receive a friendly, reliable canteen service and a positive experience when using the kitchen and dining areas.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
