Facilities PPM Technician (Part Time / Temporary)
£16.92 per hour (PAYE) | East London | Student Accommodation
We’re looking for a proactive Maintenance Technician to support a busy student accommodation site in East London. This ongoing temporary role is focused on building safety, compliance, and day-to-day facilities maintenance.
Key Details
- Start: ASAP
- Schedule: 3 days per week between Monday-Friday
- Hours: 9am–5pm (22.5 hours per week)
- Pay: £16.92 per hour (PAYE)

Role Overview
You’ll carry out a blend of reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks to ensure the building remains safe, compliant, and ready for residents.
Duties Include
- General maintenance repairs — routine fault finding and minor repairs
- PPM duties — fire alarm tests, lift inspections, plant room checks, emergency lighting inspections, critical equipment checks, and external property inspections
- Health & Safety compliance — ensuring safe working practices and accurate record-keeping

What You’ll Need
- Proven building maintenance experience
- City & Guilds or equivalent
- Strong Health & Safety awareness
- Experience with PPM routines
- Ability to work independently
- Clear communication and customer focus
