Ashridge Group is seeking an experienced and driven Facilities & Security Operations Manager to join our Head Office team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional with a strong background in facilities management, security operations, or integrated FM services to lead the delivery of high-quality services across our portfolio.

You'll play a key role in managing contracts, leading operational teams, driving performance, and ensuring our clients receive exceptional service while maintaining the highest standards of compliance, safety, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Contract & Operations Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day delivery of facilities and security contracts.
  • Ensure all contractual obligations, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are consistently achieved.
  • Monitor operational performance and implement improvements where required.
  • Manage subcontractors and service providers to ensure quality and compliance.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, motivate, and develop operational teams across facilities and security services.
  • Manage performance, conduct regular reviews, and identify training and development opportunities.
  • Ensure all staff adhere to Ashridge Group policies, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.

Financial & Quality Management

  • Manage contract budgets, revenue, profitability, and cost control.
  • Identify efficiencies and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain high standards of service quality while ensuring compliance with company policies and client expectations.

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure statutory, contractual, and Health & Safety compliance across all operations.
  • Develop and implement systems and processes to improve service delivery.
  • Promote a safe working environment and ensure all legislative requirements are met.
  • Monitor audits, inspections, and corrective actions to maintain operational excellence.

Communication & Training

  • Maintain effective communication with clients, operational teams, and senior management.
  • Deliver operational updates and performance reporting.
  • Support ongoing training and development across sites, systems, and personnel.
  • Champion best practice and continuous professional development.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced manager who can lead from the front and build strong relationships with both clients and teams.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in Facilities Management, Security Management, or a similar operational management role.
  • Strong background in Hard Services FM, including self-delivery and subcontractor management.
  • Experience managing service contracts, SLAs, KPIs, and operational performance.
  • Excellent leadership, people management, and coaching skills.
  • Strong financial awareness with experience managing budgets and improving profitability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads, work under pressure, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Desirable

  • Previous experience within the security industry (SIA background) or facilities management.
  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualification (or equivalent Health & Safety certification).
  • Experience working within multi-site environments.
  • Knowledge of compliance, risk management, and quality assurance systems.
