WHAT IS ON OFFER
Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Services Administrator to join our Facilities Support Services team at our Head Office in Prescot.
In this essential role, you will play a central part in coordinating the daily operations across our North-West facilities—ensuring our workplaces remain safe, welcoming, and smooth-running. From liaising with contractors and overseeing office procurement to managing service requests and providing welcoming front-of-house support, your work will directly enable our teams to succeed
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Contractor & Compliance Management: Organising support contractors, issuing permits to work, tracking safety documentation, and updating maintenance records.
- Procurement & Financial Admin: Ordering stationery, PPE, tools, and office supplies, while managing site key, locker, and credit card records.
- Site & Operational Support: Managing facilities inbox enquiries, assisting with meeting refreshments, issuing employee welfare vouchers, and acting as a trained First Aider/Fire Warden.
- Front of House: Providing occasional cover for the Reception desk to welcome visitors and handle incoming queries.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build warm, professional working relationships with internal and external partners.
- Excellent organization and time management skills, with a proven ability to balance multiple priorities smoothly.
- Clear problem-solving approach with a positive, supportive attitude. Good working knowledge of Microsoft and Google software suites.
- Flexibility to travel occasionally to local North-West sites within the Knowsley/Merseyside area as needed.
Required Competencies
- Collaborative team-player approach, working together with colleagues to deliver a seamless service.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision using your own initiative.
- Focus on safety, accuracy, and clear record-keeping.

Required Work Experience
- Proven administrative experience, ideally within a facilities or building management setting.
- Previous experience coordinating with external contractors or service providers.
- Front-of-house or reception experience (desirable).
- Experience using ticketing or computerised maintenance management systems (desirable).
Required Qualifications
- GCSEs in English and Mathematics (grades A*–C / 9–4) or equivalent.
- Full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle.
- Workplace Health & Safety certifications (e.g., IOSH or NEBOSH) are desirable.
