Soft FM Manager
📍 Oxford – wider multi-site remit as contracts develop

Take ownership of cleaning and linen services across a live healthcare estate — then help shape how the operation grows. This is a hands-on Soft FM leadership role with real scope to build teams, improve standards and support further contract mobilisation.
About the role
DARA People is recruiting for an FM contractor expanding its services across a healthcare estate in Oxford.
The immediate focus is cleaning and linen, currently supported through subcontracted provision. You’ll take operational ownership of the service while helping develop a reliable, effective in-house delivery model.
As further sites and services come on stream, the remit has the potential to grow.
Key responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day delivery of cleaning and linen services across assigned sites.
- Manage frontline staffing, supervision, cover and working routines.
- Maintain service quality and resolve performance issues quickly.
- Build strong relationships with the client and wider operational team.
- Put practical processes, controls and improvements in place.
- Support the transition from outsourced cleaning to an effective in-house operation.
- Assist with mobilisation of additional sites and services as the contract develops.

Requirements
- Strong experience managing cleaning and/or linen services.
- Proven leadership of frontline operational teams.
- Confident managing service standards, client relationships and day-to-day issues.
- Comfortable taking ownership and building processes in a developing operation.
- Able to operate effectively in a live, service-critical environment.
Desirable background
- Experience within healthcare, hospitals or multi-site facilities management would be particularly relevant.
- Broader soft services experience — such as housekeeping, portering, waste or related FM services — would be useful as the contract grows, but is not essential for the initial brief.
