What you will do

  • Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching, and performance management of 12 Facilities Shift Technicians across both rotational shifts, ensuring adequate cover, competency, and morale at all times
  • Own the shift handover process, ensuring outstanding actions, alarms, plant status, and safety observations are clearly communicated and closed out between teams
  • Plan, allocate, and prioritise daily work — planned preventive maintenance, unplanned/reactive maintenance, and project support work — across the technician and apprentice team
  • Ensure full and accurate completion of maintenance records, shift logs, BMS interrogation results, and readings, driving right-first-time documentation to support regulatory compliance
  • Act as an escalation point for site alarms, plant faults, and breakdowns, mobilising the appropriate resource and ensuring timely rectification and root cause follow-up
  • Own and drive the apprentice development programme, ensuring structured, safe, and progressive exposure to electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and BMS disciplines
  • Support and enforce safe systems of work, permit to work, LOTO, confined space, and other high-hazard controls across all shift activities
  • Monitor and report on Facilities KPIs including PPM compliance, breakdown response times, and backlog, identifying and driving improvement actions

  • Lead or support routine testing and compliance activity on life safety systems, including sprinkler and fire alarm systems, and other statutory plant
  • Identify, coach, and close out skills and knowledge gaps within the team through structured mentoring and on-the-job training
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and induction of new shift technicians and apprentices
  • Deputise for the Facilities Manager as required, including representation at meetings

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
