You will be joining a large, diverse estate that supports both clinical and commercial environments, where the delivery of high-quality soft facilities services is critical to day-to-day operations. Your new role

As Facilities Supervisor (Soft Services), you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating day-to-day soft facilities services across multiple sites. The role has a strong focus on staff leadership, contractor management, and service quality, ensuring that environments are safe, compliant, and well presented at all times.

Working within operational healthcare and commercial settings, you will act as a key point of contact for service users and stakeholders, responding professionally to issues and supporting the smooth delivery of services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and supporting facilities staff to ensure services are delivered safely and to agreed standards
  • Managing attendance, performance, training, and day-to-day staff issues
  • Overseeing contractors and monitoring performance against specifications
  • Carrying out regular audits, inspections, and quality checks
  • Escalating issues appropriately and supporting corrective actions
  • Ensuring soft services operate safely within clinical environments, recognising higher risk and compliance requirements
  • Maintaining high standards of presentation and customer experience within commercial buildings
  • Acting as a point of contact for service users, clinical teams, and building occupants
  • Demonstrating an understanding of budgets, cost control, and value for money
  • Supporting soft services compliance and continuous improvement activity

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this Facilities Supervisor role, you will bring strong supervisory experience, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to service quality.

Essential experience and skills:

  • Experience supervising and managing soft facilities services within a healthcare or similarly regulated environment
  • Proven people management and contractor management experience
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements
  • Ability to operate confidently within clinical environments
  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

  • Basic understanding of budgets and financial processes
  • Experience working across multiple sites
  • Ability to lead meetings and engage effectively with stakeholders
