FACILITIES TECHNICIAN

Job Outline
To facilitate and support the operation and maintenance of the EMEA Head Quarters and other Future UK locations. This will include providing basic maintenance support to the EMEA Headquarters and UK Offices as well as providing cover across the team whilst supporting the Facilities Manager, EMEA
What the role involves
- To support the Facilities Manager regarding all team activities including, but not limited to, Technical support, administration, reception, Health & Safety, security and post room.
- Processing invoices and purchase orders with a high level of accuracy, monitoring and reporting facilities expenditure
- Liaise with existing supplier base to fulfil facilities requests from Future UK employees
- Work with the Facilities Manager in the appointing of new suppliers
- Support the Facilities Manager in the development of policies and procedures for all office related services
- To assist in the handling of sub tenant issues and service charging where appropriate
- Review purchasing policy procedures to ensure there are defined measures of control in line with the changing business needs
- Monitoring waste management
- Provide internal and external maintenance support to Future House and associated company offices
- Installation of office equipment including desk moves
- Lighting maintenance – internal and external repairs and installation
- Plumbing – covering all areas
- Installing power and data at individual work points
- PAT Testing – ensuring that tests are completed correctly and all paperwork meets the procedures in place
- Complete the Facilities check list and rectify any problems that have been identified
- Maintain and keep Facility department areas and store rooms organised with appropriate stock levels
- Provide coverage for all other department areas as required
- To be ‘on call’ outside of normal working hours, as required
- Any other maintenance related work that falls within the knowledge and skills of the individual as management may at times require

Do you have
- Experience of working within a similar role
- Building Maintenance skills, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and security
- Highly organised and accurate, able to multi task, work under pressure and maintain extensive attention to detail
- Able to work under own initiative and be a strong team player in a diverse team
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and office skills
- Understands urgency actioning requests in timely manner
- Ability to negotiate with and deliver to stakeholders across the organisation – focus on the customer
