Position Summary: Ultracurious – Apply Your Biggest Ideas
Transform bold ideas into action, troubleshooting and maintaining critical systems. This is a GMP Facilities Tech II role where minimal supervision is necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform documented preventative and corrective maintenance on GMP lab instruments and complex utilities like HVAC, compressed air, RO/WFI systems, autoclaves, and glass washers, following GDP standards.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical and controls issues in facility systems.
- Ensure GMP compliance in all maintenance-related activities.
- Proactively execute continuous improvement projects to optimise departmental operations.
- Maintain 24/7 operational reliability through walkthroughs, on-call shifts, and rapid incident resolutions.
- Maintain best safety practices, remedying hazards and removing headgear/jewellery for gowning protocols.

Work Model
- 12-hour shifts, typically midnight–10am (Wednesday–Saturday) – on-site with variable scheduling based on coverage needs.
- On-call rotation for off-hours emergencies.
Position Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma (college degree preferred) or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of GMP/regulated environment maintenance (bio/pharma preferred).
- Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree or industry field certifications (HVAC, gaseous waste treatment, electricity, plumbing).
- Proficiency in BMS/CMMS software (e.g., ControlLogix, Maximo).
- Safety-minded self-starter with strong decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) familiarity.

Physical Demands
- Frequent prolonged standing, climbing, and bending.
- Lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
- Working in GxP environments (cold rooms) requires jacket-free jacket/glove services with TSA and dust clearance.
- Donning respirators (medical clearance required).
- Must remove all make-up, jewelry, and contact lenses during facility entry.
