Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent upon experience)

Factory Planning Lead
As Factory Planning Lead, you will lead planning and inbound material activities for the Buxton factory. Working closely with production, technical teams, suppliers and wider supply chain stakeholders, you will help shape a responsive and agile supply operation while driving continuous improvement across planning processes. You will ensure the right materials, plans and processes are in place to support production, meet customer demand and maintain efficient inventory levels.
Your Impact
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective planning and supply of materials required to support factory operations and the wider UK Waters network. Working as part of a One Operations planning team, you will balance site accountability with network-wide collaboration, helping to optimise service, inventory, cost and operational performance across multiple manufacturing locations.

- Supply Planning & Service Delivery: Lead factory planning and inbound material requirements activities to ensure production plans can be delivered safely, efficiently and in line with customer demand requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify, prioritise and deliver initiatives that improve planning effectiveness, operational agility, reliability and end-to-end supply chain performance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Build effective partnerships across production, technical, procurement, commercial and supply planning teams to support delivery of factory and business objectives.
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach and develop planning team members, creating an environment that supports capability growth, engagement and performance.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure planning activities operate in alignment with business processes, compliance requirements, audit standards and quality management expectations.
- Systems & Process Standardisation: Drive process alignment initiatives, ensuring effective utilisation of Nestlé SAP and Globe systems to support operational excellence.
Your Ingredients for Success
To succeed in this role, you will bring planning and supply chain experience gained within a manufacturing, production or operational environment. You will combine technical planning expertise with the ability to lead people, improve processes and build effective relationships across multiple teams. Experience in supply planning, procurement, inventory management and continuous improvement will help you deliver sustainable results while supporting business priorities.
- Supply Chain & Planning Expertise: Experience in factory planning, supply network planning, master production scheduling, procurement or broader supply chain operations; exposure to international supply chains and global supply networks would be advantageous.
- People Leadership: Experience leading, coaching and developing teams, with the ability to support capability growth and enable results through others.
- Operational & Commercial Understanding: Understanding of manufacturing environments and the connection between operational performance, customer service, inventory and business outcomes.
- Continuous Improvement: Experience applying continuous improvement principles to improve efficiency, reliability, agility and end-to-end value stream performance.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to build productive working relationships across multiple functions, communicate effectively at all organisational levels and operate successfully within matrix environments.
- Systems & Process Knowledge: Knowledge of demand and supply planning processes, inventory management, business planning cycles and supply chain systems, including experience supporting system integration or process standardisation initiatives.
