Faculty Affairs Officer
Salary: from £36,513pa to £41,565pa inclusive with potential to progress to £44,468pa inclusive
The Department of Economics is one of the largest economics departments in the world, with over 70 faculty and 1100 students. The Department is seeking a highly committed and motivated Faculty Affairs Officer to work within the department’s Operations team, supporting high profile professors and the Faculty Affairs Manager in delivering objectives and business support.
Role Requirements:
- Proven administrative experience at a senior level
- Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience of financial and business support is highly desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience of taking minutes for high-profile meetings
- Confidence in liaising with senior external contacts
- Previous experience in a higher education setting is desirable
- Understanding of academic processes
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the School and within the Department

Key Responsibilities:
- High level of planning, organizing workloads, and collaborative working
- Balancing the needs of individuals while managing expectations
- Experience of planning a busy workload with a variety of tasks and multiple deadlines
- Financial experience at a high level
Candidate Requirements:
- Strong previous finance experience
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of people at all levels
