The University is now seeking an exceptional academic leader to become its next Faculty Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Business and Law. This is a significant appointment at a pivotal moment in Manchester Met’s development, offering the opportunity to lead a vibrant, diverse and highly successful Faculty while contributing to institutional leadership as a member of the University Executive Group.
About the Faculty of Business and Law
The Faculty of Business and Law brings together the internationally recognised Manchester Law School, a triple-accredited Business School ranked among the top 1% globally, and the Centre for Enterprise, which works with businesses, policymakers and partners across the country to drive innovation and support sustainable economic growth. Educating more than 10,000 students each year, the Faculty combines consistently strong student outcomes with research that addresses significant challenges facing business, law and society. Through close partnerships with employers, professional bodies, policymakers and civic organisations, it makes an important contribution to economic growth, innovation and social progress.

Role of the Faculty Pro-Vice-Chancellor
As Faculty Pro-Vice-Chancellor, you will provide visible and inclusive leadership, setting a clear direction and creating an environment in which colleagues and students can thrive. You will work closely with senior leaders across the University to implement strategy, strengthen reputation, performance and impact, and grow the Faculty’s national and international profile, including its contribution to the generation, dissemination and translation of knowledge.
Requirements
To achieve this, we are seeking an experienced and inspirational academic leader with a strong international academic profile, a deep understanding of the higher education landscape, and a genuine commitment to people-led leadership. You will bring strategic vision, operational excellence and energy, with the ability to lead complex academic communities, build meaningful partnerships and deliver excellent education and excellent research with impact.
