Contract
Full time (37 hours per week) Term Time only plus 1 week including 5 training days, Permanent contract.
8.00am – 4.00pm working hours
Salary
Grade 6: points 18-23 - £27,944.38-£30,511.36 (£16.35-£17.85 an hour)

We’re looking for a compassionate, proactive, and resilient Family Liaison Officer to become a trusted link between our school, pupils, and their families. You’ll work with families who may be experiencing challenges, helping them access the right support, strengthen their relationship with school, and overcome barriers that could be affecting their child’s education, attendance, or wellbeing.
This is a varied and influential role combining family support, safeguarding, attendance, multi-agency working, and direct pupil support. You’ll also act as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with strong safeguarding knowledge who wants to have a wider impact across a specialist school community.
This role should appeal to you if you are confident in your ability to combine knowledge and experience of pastoral support with empathy, care, and kindness for children and families facing wide-ranging barriers in their lives.
Experience of working with families and professional agencies will be necessary for this role, alongside experience of attending multi-agency meetings and family home visits.
Old Hall School is a specialist setting in Walsall providing education to young people at EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, all of whom have a variety of SEND complexities. The post holder will be joining our vibrant team as we move forward and refine our excellence in nurturing, developing, and shaping young lives.
