Now Hiring: Litigation Executive

We are expanding our family law team to meet increasing demand and invite you to apply for the position of Litigation Executive in a full-time fee-earning role. Our team deals with all aspects of family litigation, including domestic violence and non-molestation orders, child arrangements and custody disputes, divorce and financial remedy proceedings, cohabitation and TOLATA disputes, and pre- and post-nuptial agreements.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload from start-to-end
• Work collaboratively with clients, colleagues, and external professionals
• Complete file management
• Complete and update risk assessments and Lexis Nexis checks
• Experience with administrative work
• Drafting letters before action, instructions to experts, and routine correspondence
• Drafting applications for pre-action disclosure and financial disclosure
• Drafting applications and court proceedings (e.g. Form C100, Form A, divorce/dissolution applications)
• Reviewing the other party's statements/answers
• Analysing financial disclosure and Form E documentation
• Reviewing expert evidence (e.g. valuation, pension, or welfare reports)
• Taking initial calls
• Providing updates to the client via telephone and email
• Conducting asset and property valuations
• Reviewing welfare/CAFCASS reports and other expert evidence
• Drafting schedules of assets and liabilities
• Reviewing income and earnings evidence
• Drafting letters to the other side concerning offers to settle
• Preparing letters to the client concerning settlement and prospects of success
• Diarising dates for hearings and court deadlines
• Attending hearings and making notes
• Contacting chambers for counsel
• Preparing briefs to counsel
