Role Description

This is a full-time, Family Law Paralegal role based in the North London area, United Kingdom.

The Family Law Paralegal will support solicitors with case preparation, including drafting documents, preparing court bundles, and managing case files. Daily responsibilities include liaising with clients and third parties, organising and reviewing evidence, maintaining accurate records, and tracking key deadlines.

The successful candidate will help ensure cases progress efficiently, providing reliable administrative and procedural support within the family law team.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in family law or another litigation-focused practice area.
  • Strong legal drafting and document management skills, including the preparation of statements, court forms, and bundles.
  • Proficiency in legal research using online databases and other resources, with the ability to present findings clearly.
  • Exceptional client care, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive matters professionally.
  • Solid organisational and time-management abilities, including managing multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Competence with common legal practice management software and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and follow firm procedures accurately.
  • Relevant legal qualification such as a Law Degree, or equivalent experience; prior UK family law exposure is an advantage.
  • Attention to detail, discretion, and a commitment to maintaining high ethical and confidentiality standards.
