This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, Grade A Solicitor to join our Childcare team, managing a diverse caseload of Children Act 1989 and Family Law Act 1996 matters, including:

  • Care Proceedings
  • Pre-Proceedings (PLO) matters
  • Emergency hearings and Emergency Protection Orders
  • Child Protection Conference advice
  • Special Guardianship Orders
  • Secure Accommodation Orders
  • Parental Responsibility disputes
  • Placement Orders
  • Adoption Orders
  • Advice and representation for grandparents and extended family members
  • Representation of family members accused of harming a child

Key Requirements

The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional legal expertise, strong advocacy skills, and a thorough understanding of the Children Act, Family Law Act, Family Procedure Rules and Legal Aid compliance requirements. You will also play an active role in business development, building relationships with referral partners and supporting the continued growth of the practice.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a qualified Solicitor in England & Wales and hold a current practising certificate
  • Have proven experience managing a complex caseload of childcare proceedings
  • Have a good track record of consistently achieving billing and time recording targets
  • Have an ability to demonstrate empathy, compassion, and professionalism when advising clients and their families on complex and often emotionally challenging issues.
