Family Law Solicitor / Associate Partner / Salaried Partner – Manchester – up to £200,000 + Bonus + Benefits

A leading private equity-backed boutique is seeking an exceptional Family Law Solicitor / Associate Partner / Salaried Partner in Manchester to take full leadership of its established office.

This is a rare and high-profile opportunity, created through succession planning, for a commercially astute and well-connected individual to step into a true Head of Office position within a high-performing and profitable practice.

This Family Law Solicitor / Associate Partner / Salaried Partner role in Manchester is ideally suited to a lawyer with extensive experience advising high-net-worth individuals, including entrepreneurs, business owners, and clients in the media, entertainment, and sporting sectors on complex divorce, financial remedy, and wealth protection matters involving corporate structures, investments, and trusts.

Alongside running a premium caseload, you will take ownership of the office’s operational management, financial performance, and long-term strategic direction.

The Role:

  • Take full responsibility for leading and managing the Manchester Family team
  • Inherit a high-quality HNW/UHNW caseload with strong ongoing instructions
  • Advise on complex divorce, ancillary relief, and private children matters involving significant assets
  • Act for high-profile clients including business owners, entrepreneurs, and individuals in sport, media, and entertainment
  • Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, P&L, and team productivity
  • Drive strategic growth, including lateral hires and team expansion
  • Develop and execute marketing and business development initiatives aligned with the firm’s brand
  • Work closely with senior leadership on broader firm strategy
  • Mentor, develop, and retain high-performing lawyers and fee earners

The Candidate:

  • Senior Family Solicitor / Partner with a strong reputation in the market
  • Extensive experience handling high-value, complex financial remedy work
  • Strong client following or demonstrable referrer network in Manchester / wider North West
  • Proven leadership capability, ideally with experience managing teams and financial performance
  • Highly commercial, with a strong understanding of profitability and growth strategy
  • Confident operating at Partner / Head of Office level with autonomy
  • Ambitious, entrepreneurial, and motivated to build and scale a leading practice
