Family Law Solicitor
Location: London
Salary: £40,000 +
We are working with a highly regarded law firm, who are seeking an ambitious Family Law Solicitor with 1-4 years' PQE to join their established Family Department in London.
This is a great opportunity for a solicitor looking to develop their career within a supportive and well-regarded family law team, working on a broad range of privately funded family matters. The successful candidate will have genuine scope to develop their technical expertise, take on increasing responsibility and progress their career over the longer term.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising clients on a broad range of family law matters, including divorce, financial remedy and private children disputes.
- Managing your own caseload while working closely with experienced Partners and senior members of the team on more complex matters.
- Drafting applications, statements, correspondence and other legal documentation, as well as preparing for hearings and negotiations.
- Representing and supporting clients throughout negotiations, mediation and court proceedings where appropriate.
- Building strong client relationships and providing clear, sensitive and commercially aware advice throughout each matter.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals, including barristers, mediators and other advisers.
- Contributing to business development and marketing initiatives where appropriate, with opportunities to develop your own professional profile.

The Ideal Candidate
- A qualified Solicitor with 1-4 years' PQE and experience in family law.
- Strong experience across private family matters, ideally including divorce, financial remedy and/or children work.
- Excellent technical, drafting and advocacy skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- A confident and empathetic communicator who is comfortable dealing with clients during sensitive and often challenging circumstances.
- Highly organised, commercially aware and able to manage a busy caseload effectively.
- A collaborative team player with the ambition to develop their career within a successful Family Department.
- An interest in business development and building strong, long-term client relationships would be advantageous.
