The Role
You will manage a varied caseload of publicly funded and privately funded family matters, advising clients on Care Proceedings, Public Law Outline (PLO) matters, Private Children Act proceedings, domestic abuse applications, including Non-Molestation and Occupation Orders, together with wider family law issues such as cohabitation and unmarried couple disputes. You will have the opportunity to undertake your own advocacy, build strong client relationships and play an active role in developing the department through networking and business development. The Candidate
Applications are sought from Family Lawyers with a minimum of 2 years PQE and experience handling a broad range of family and childcare matters. You will possess a strong understanding of legal aid and be confident managing your own caseload with minimal supervision. Advocacy experience is highly desirable, together with the ability to undertake your own hearings where appropriate. Candidates with an existing client following or those working towards panel accreditation will be viewed favourably. The successful candidate will be commercially aware, personable and proactive, with excellent communication and client care skills and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding legal advice.
