What if your next move could offer more than just a new caseload?
I'm working with a well-regarded, growing law firm in North Somerset that's looking to expand its Family team. With a strong local reputation, a down-to-earth culture and an ambitious attitude for growth, it's an opportunity to join a firm where you can build your career, have a voice and make a real contribution.
A Team Where You Can Make Your Mark:
You'll work closely with an experienced Family Partner who brings nearly two decades of legal experience, including extensive work in family proceedings and children law. Having returned to the firm to lead the department, they're now focused on developing the team and building on its existing strengths.
The wider team includes two dedicated family paralegals, creating a close-knit setup where you'll have direct access to senior support without being buried beneath layers of management. You'll have the opportunity to learn, collaborate and take ownership of your own work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You'll handle a varied private family caseload:
- Divorce and separation
- Financial remedy
- Private children matters

What really sets this opportunity apart is the scope to help shape a growing department. The firm places value on individual ability and contribution, rather than treating PQE as the only measure of potential.
Newly qualified? You'll benefit from working closely with an experienced Partner who can support your development. More experienced? There's room to take on greater responsibility, contribute to the team's growth and progress your career without feeling you have to wait in line for the next opportunity.
