Family Legal Secretary/ PA

Location: London, Holborn

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

Family Legal Secretary/ PA – Our client, a highly esteemed Holborn firm with a legacy spanning over 300 years and voted as Times best law firms, is seeking a private family legal secretary/PA to join their award-winning Family department.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced family legal secretary to take on a pivotal role within a supportive and high-performing team, working closely with the family Partner and collaborating with colleagues across the department.

About the Role

You will support the HOD and other fee earners when necessary, assisting with:

  • Case preparation
  • Drafting correspondence and court documents
  • Managing bundles
  • Liaising with clients, Counsel and court staff
  • Overseeing court portals and key dates
  • Supporting AML/CDD processes
  • Billing and general administration
  • Completing family law forms using Quantum

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should ideally hold:

  • A law degree or recognised legal qualification
  • At least one year’s experience of working within a busy family department in a UK practice

Additionally, strong organisational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and confidence in dealing with clients are essential, along with proficiency in legal IT systems or the ability to quickly learn new platforms.
