Family Liaison Worker

£27,814.00 Annually (FTE)

Location: PL24 2DS
Type: Part Time

Employer: Doubletrees School

About The Role

Doubletrees School is part of the Special Partnership Trust, a specialist SEN trust committed to raising standards and improving outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs. Through collaboration, inclusion, and high aspirations, we support learners and their families to achieve success in education and beyond.

The Role

We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and highly organised Family Liaison Worker to play a key role in supporting pupils, families, and staff across Doubletrees School. Working at the heart of our pastoral provision, you will help build strong, positive relationships between home and school, ensuring that families feel supported, informed, and empowered to access the help they need.

This varied and rewarding role involves working closely with pupils who may face barriers to learning, attendance, engagement, or wellbeing. You will act as a trusted point of contact for families, providing advice, guidance, and practical support, while coordinating with teachers, school leaders, and external agencies to achieve the best possible outcomes for every child.

The successful candidate will lead on family engagement initiatives, attend and facilitate meetings, complete referrals, coordinate support plans, and help families navigate services available within the local community. You will also play an important role in promoting positive attendance, supporting admissions and transitions, and ensuring that pastoral interventions are effectively monitored and recorded.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
