Family Nurse: Fixed term - 12 months (37.5 hours)

Would you like to be part of a team that makes a lasting difference to the lives of young parents, babies and families? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Stockport Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) for a 12 month period to cover maternity leave.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and motivated Family Nurse who is passionate about building strong therapeutic relationships and supporting young families to achieve positive, lasting change. The post is funded until December 2027, with full-time or part-time working options considered.

About the Role

As a Family Nurse, you will deliver the Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) programme to eligible pregnant young women and their families, providing intensive, structured and therapeutic support in the home and community. You will build trusting, respectful relationships with families, working alongside them to develop their confidence, skills and aspirations and to achieve positive outcomes for themselves and their children.

Using evidence-based FNP approaches, you will support families throughout pregnancy and the early years to promote positive pregnancy, parenting, child health and development, and longer-term life-course outcomes. You will work collaboratively with families and partner agencies, coordinating support where needed and helping families to access the right universal and specialist services.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
