Family Partner | Dorset

A well regarded regional law firm with deep roots across Dorset and the South West is looking for an experienced Family Solicitor at Partner level to step into a leadership role due to succession planning.

This is a genuine partnership opportunity: you'll run a substantial caseload of high-value divorce and financial cases, supervise a small team, and help shape the future of a family practice that's well-established and genuinely respected. Modern offices in the heart of Poole, flexible working, and a firm that actually values its people.

The Opportunity

You'll step into a Partner role with real scope and influence:

  • Run a full, high-quality caseload of general matrimonial and high-value financial cases
  • Lead a small team of lawyers and support staff with genuine supervisory responsibility
  • Build the practice through networking, client development, and promoting the Poole office
  • Advocate in court on substantial, complex family matters
  • Work from modern, well-equipped offices in the heart of Poole with one day remote working per week
  • Occasional travel to other offices for client meetings, court hearings, and network events

You

  • Experienced Family Solicitor with extensive knowledge across family law
  • Strong expertise in high-value divorce and financial matters
  • Proven advocacy skills with genuine experience attending court hearings
  • Supervisory experience managing lawyers and support staff
  • Confident business developer able to grow and promote the practice
  • Articulate, resilient, detail-focused with high professional integrity
  • Local area knowledge of Dorset/Somerset ideal
