Role and Facility Information
The Cranbrook UPCC has fantastic opportunities for family practice physicians to do short-term locums in beautiful Cranbrook, BC!
As a General Practice Physician locum, you will work with members of the inter-professional care team at the Cranbrook Urgent and Primary Care Clinic (UPCC). This state of the art clinic provides urgent and episodic care to the community of Cranbrook. The UPCC team consists of Family practitioners (FPs), nurse practitioners (NPs), registered nurse team lead, primary care registered nurses (RNs), social workers (SWs), Occupational Therapist, Mental Wellness Clinician, medical office assistants (MOAs), and a dedicated operational manager.
- You can choose flexible locum dates and we welcome both full time and part time availability.
- We currently have opportunities for the months of January, February and March.
- This flexibility allows you to indulge in Cranbrook’s abundant outdoor recreational activities in your time outside of work.

We will reimburse transportation costs to and from the community, meals while travelling, accommodation, and in-community transportation (rental care or personal vehicle mileage). Please reach out to us for details.

- Rural Incentives include:
- Recruitment bonus: $20,000
- Relocation: $9,000 - $15,000 based on move location
- Fee Premium: 14.00%
- Annual Retention: $21,246
- Rural CME: max of $5,720/year after 4 years in practice
