Family Solicitor (NQ - 3 PQE) – Newbury – Up to £65,000 + Bonus + Benefits

A leading boutique family law firm is seeking a Family Solicitor to join its growing team in Newbury. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or junior family solicitor to join a specialist practice, advising on high-quality privately funded family matters within a supportive and collaborative environment. The firm in Newbury has built an outstanding reputation for its client-focused approach and expertise in complex family law matters.

A key attraction of this opportunity is the level of mentoring and support available. You will work closely with highly respected Partners who have built their careers at leading Legal 500-ranked firms, gaining first-hand exposure to high-net-worth clients, complex financial remedy cases and strategic family law advice. The role offers an outstanding platform for a junior solicitor looking to accelerate their development within a specialist family practice, whilst also beginning to build their own professional profile and client base. With direct access to experienced practitioners, networking opportunities and high-quality privately funded work from the outset, you will be well-positioned to develop both technically and commercially as your career progresses.

The Role:

  • Managing your own caseload of privately funded family matters with appropriate supervision
  • Advising on divorce, financial remedy and private children matters
  • Supporting senior solicitors on complex and high-value cases
  • Drafting legal documents, court applications and correspondence
  • Liaising with clients, counsel and third parties
  • Attending hearings and client meetings
  • Building strong client relationships through exceptional client care
  • Supporting business development and networking initiatives
  • Working collaboratively within a specialist family law team

The Candidate:

  • Qualified Solicitor from NQ - 3 PQE
  • Experience of family law gained during training or post-qualification
  • Exposure to financial remedy work would be advantageous
  • Strong academic background and technical ability
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • Commercial and empathetic approach
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Ambitious and motivated to develop a career in specialist family law
