We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Family Solicitor (5+ years PQE) to join our successful and ambitious team to work on high-quality caseload of privately funded family matters, including:

  • High-quality divorce and separation work for an established private client base
  • Complex financial remedy cases requiring strategic and commercial thinking
  • Instructions from high-net-worth clients with substantial asset portfolios
  • Sensitive and often high-profile private children matters
  • Bespoke pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements for wealth preservation and risk management
  • Advising on family business structures, succession planning and asset protection strategies
  • Urgent and impactful domestic abuse applications where your expertise can make a real difference

You will have the autonomy to manage your own caseload while collaborating with experienced specialists on complex and challenging matters. The role also offers significant client contact and opportunities to contribute to the continued growth of the department.

About You

We are looking for a solicitor who can demonstrate:

  • 5+ years PQE in Family Law
  • Experience managing a privately funded caseload
  • Exposure to HNW and complex financial matters
  • Excellent technical and drafting skills
  • Strong client relationship and communication abilities
  • A commercial mindset and interest in business development
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering exceptional client care

In addition to base salary, we operate a discretionary bonus scheme across the firm that is designed to reward fee earning and broader contributions that help drive the Slater Heelis firm forward. Fee Earners: Eligible for up to 9.5% of salary, plus 5% of fees over target.
