About The Role

A Family Solicitor with at least two years’ post-qualification experience is sought by an established Liverpool firm. This permanent position offers a salary between £35,000 and £50,000, dependent on experience. You will manage a diverse caseload covering divorce, financial remedy, private and public children proceedings, plus domestic abuse cases, guiding clients from initial instruction to resolution. The role provides flexible working arrangements and clear progression pathways within a supportive legal team. Strong technical knowledge and client care skills are essential.   • Manage your own caseload of family law matters from instruction through to conclusion.
  • Handle a broad range of matters including divorce, financial remedy, public and private children cases, and domestic abuse matters.
  • Advise both legally aided and privately funded clients, with legal aid experience being essential.
  • Provide clear, practical legal advice and exceptional client care throughout the lifecycle of each matter.
  • Draft legal documents, correspondence and court applications.
  • Attend court hearings where appropriate to assist Counsel, with the opportunity to undertake your own advocacy.
  • Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with legal aid and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and build strong client relationships.

Suitable for qualified Solicitors, Chartered Legal Executives and experienced Family Law Paralegals with a minimum of 2 years' family law experience.

  • Strong knowledge of family law procedures and legislation is essential.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and case management skills required.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a collaborative team environment.
