Senior Family Solicitor / Branch Manager (5+ PQE) – Cambridge – Competitive Salary + Bonus + Benefits
A leading boutique family law firm is seeking a Senior Family Solicitor to lead and grow its Cambridge office. This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious Family Lawyer to take ownership of an established location, combining high-quality fee-earning work with genuine leadership responsibility and the autonomy to shape the future direction of the office.
More than a traditional senior fee-earning role, this position offers the chance to build and develop your own team within a successful and expanding specialist family law practice. You will work closely with the firm's leadership team, influence business strategy, drive local growth and play a key role in strengthening the firm's presence in the region.

The Role:
- Managing a caseload of privately funded family matters
- Advising on divorce, financial remedy and private children matters
- Overseeing the day-to-day management and performance of the Cambridge office
- Leading, mentoring and developing junior lawyers and support staff
- Building and growing a high-performing local team
- Developing relationships with clients, referrers and professional contacts
- Driving business development and brand awareness within the local market
- Managing branch performance, productivity and financial targets
- Working closely with senior leadership on business strategy and growth plans
- Contributing to the continued expansion of the firm
The Candidate:
- Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years' PQE in Family Law
- Strong experience handling privately funded family matters
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience would be advantageous
- Excellent technical knowledge across family law disciplines
- Commercially aware with strong business development capabilities
- Strong client care and relationship management skills
- Experience mentoring or developing junior colleagues
- Ambitious and motivated to grow a team and office
- A proactive leader who enjoys taking ownership and responsibility
