Family Solicitor – Loughborough
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
We are working with an established law firm that is looking to appoint a Family Solicitor at NQ to junior PQE level to support the development and launch of a new office in either Leicestershire or Nottinghamshire.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Family Solicitor who has gained solid practical experience in private family law and is looking for the opportunity to develop their own caseload while playing an active role in establishing a new local presence for the firm. The successful candidate will be linked to the firm's established office in the area, working closely with an experienced Associate Solicitor who will provide ongoing supervision, support and guidance.
The Role:
- Managing a caseload of private family matters with appropriate supervision
- Handling matters including:
- Divorce and dissolution
- Financial remedy proceedings
- Private children matters
- Non-molestation orders
- Occupation orders
- Providing clear and practical advice to clients
- Preparing legal documentation and correspondence
- Liaising with clients, other solicitors and relevant third parties
- Assisting with case preparation and progression
- Working closely with the established Family team in Melton Mowbray
- Contributing to the development and growth of the new office
- Building relationships within the local community and undertaking networking and business development activities

About You:
- Newly Qualified or a junior Family Solicitor, although applications will be considered based on experience and ability rather than PQE alone
- Practical experience within private family law is essential
- Comfortable working across divorce, financial remedy and private children matters
- Experience of domestic abuse matters, including non-molestation and occupation orders, would be beneficial
- Strong client care and communication skills
- Well organised with good case-management abilities
- Commercially aware and proactive
- Interested in developing relationships and contributing to business development
- Confident working independently while also being comfortable seeking guidance and supervision when required

This role would suit a Family Solicitor who is looking for more than simply managing an existing caseload and would enjoy the opportunity to help establish and develop a new office, with the backing and support of an established Family team.
