Family Solicitor (5+ PQE) - Milton Keynes / Northampton - Competitive Salary + Benefits + Bonus

A well-established regional law firm is seeking a Senior Family Lawyer to join its growing Family team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Solicitor or qualified CILEX Lawyer to join a highly regarded practice, handling complex privately funded family matters whilst playing a key role in the future growth of the department.

This opportunity offers far more than a traditional fee-earning role. Joining a successful and ambitious team, you will have the platform to develop your own specialist area of practice, build your professional profile and, over time, establish and grow a sub-department within the wider Family team. Working closely with senior leadership, you will have genuine influence over the direction and development of the practice.

The Family team advises individuals, business owners and high-net-worth clients on a broad range of family law matters. The firm is particularly interested in ambitious lawyers who combine strong technical expertise with commercial awareness, exceptional client care and a desire to help shape the future success of the department.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
