Chill'd CIC
Make a Difference Every Day
At Chill'd CIC, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of the challenges they face.
We're looking for a compassionate, organised and proactive Family Support Officer to become a key part of our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building positive relationships with young people, families, schools and professionals while ensuring every learner receives a smooth and supportive journey into our Alternative Provision.
If you're passionate about helping young people succeed and enjoy working in a varied role where no two days are the same, we'd love to hear from you.
About The Role
As our Family Support Officer, you'll be the first point of contact for many families, supporting them throughout the referral, admissions and onboarding process.
Working closely with schools, local authorities, commissioners and our internal team, you'll ensure referrals are managed efficiently, learner records remain accurate, and families feel informed and supported every step of the way.
You'll also play an important role in maintaining compliance, coordinating admissions, attending meetings, supporting EHCP reviews and helping to develop strong relationships with partner agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage referrals from initial enquiry through to placement.
- Coordinate learner admissions and onboarding.
- Build positive relationships with young people, families and professionals.
- Liaise with schools, local authorities and commissioners.
- Maintain accurate learner records and admissions documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, GDPR and organisational procedures.
- Monitor attendance and learner records.
- Attend multi-agency meetings and EHCP reviews where appropriate.
- Support families beyond onboarding where required.
- Produce newsletters and communications for families.
- Provide general administrative support to the organisation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
