About the Role
We are seeking a Parent Worker to support parents and carers of children who are at risk of, or have experienced, going missing from home. You'll help families better understand exploitation, online safety, and risk, strengthen family relationships, and ensure parents' voices are heard within professional networks.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one support to parents and carers.
- Deliver group sessions on missing episodes, exploitation, and online safety.
- Support families through advocacy and multi-agency working.
- Help improve communication between young people and their families.
- Work closely with police, children's services, schools, and partner agencies.
- Maintain accurate case records and reports.

Qualifications
Location: Manchester (Wythenshawe Office & Manchester Greenheys Police Station)
Required Skills
- Experience supporting families, parents, or carers.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, child exploitation, and missing children.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with complex and sensitive situations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills
- Enhanced DBS required.
- Occasional evening, weekend, and overnight work may be required.
Pay range and compensation package
Pay Rate: £14.43 per hour
