About Camden
Camden is a place where everyone can thrive. We’re ambitious about making our borough the best place to live, work, study and visit, while making radical social change a reality so that nobody gets left behind. Here’s where you can help shape a better future for us all.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving and dynamic service and play a key role in developing and embedding relational systemic practice across Camden’s Children and Learning services.
As a Family Systemic Psychotherapist, you’ll work alongside practitioners, social workers and managers to strengthen systemic practice and support high-quality interventions with children and families. Your work will include specialist systemic assessments of complex cases, direct work with children and families, consultation, supervision, coaching and mentoring, as well as supporting practitioners to develop their systemic skills.
You’ll bring your expertise to complex and situations of significant challenge, helping colleagues develop thoughtful, evidence-based interventions that improve outcomes for children and families. You’ll also contribute to embedding systemic approaches across supervision, assessments and network meetings, helping to influence and develop practice across the wider service.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
