Full Time – 37.5 Hours
Priory Hospital Cheadle is looking for a UKCP registered Family Therapist to join our established therapy team on our CAMHS unit in Manchester.
Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal, Stockport is an inpatient mental health service for young people and adults. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes along Wilmslow Road and Cheadle Hulme and East Didsbury railway stations approximately 1–2 miles from the service.
What you'll be doing
As a Family Therapist, you will identify and deliver appropriate and relevant treatments and intervention within the given this field of therapy. You will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.
You will also:
- Receive and respond promptly to referrals undertaking initial assessments to establish the scope, level and nature of the individual client’s therapeutic needs.
- Lead and facilitate group and/or individual therapy sessions, ensuring activities and interventions continue to meet the needs of the clients, and are consistent with the provisions detailed in the clients’ therapy plan.
- Manage, monitor and review an assigned caseload, ensuring delivery within the agreed timescales.

What you'll bring to the role
Essential for the role – Family Therapist
You will hold a Master’s-level qualification in Family and Systemic Psychotherapy (typically a 4-year qualifying course), with mandatory UKCP registration via an approved route (e.g., IFT/AFSP or the College of Family, Couple and Systemic Therapy). AFSP (formerly AFT) registration is also expected. You should have post-qualification experience in mental health settings, including inpatient and/or outpatient services.
