Family Time Practitioner x 37 hours
Grade 7 - £31,022 per annum
Glyncornel Centre, Llwynypia, Tonypandy, CF40 2JF
We are looking to recruit a Family Time Practitioner into our busy Family Time Service. The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting managers in the operation of the service in both our Family Time Centres. Glyncornel Centre, Tonypandy, CF40 2JF is the main base but role requires post holder to also operate from Aman Children & Family Centre, Godreaman, Aberdare when required.
You will support Family Time Managers in their roles and deputise in their absence, as well as, facilitating family time sessions between looked after children and their families, liaising with social work teams, risk assessing individual sessions, covering sessions when necessary or complex, checking and authorising recordings and providing accurate records to professionals.
Experience of working with children and families is essential and a basic knowledge of child development is necessary to provide appropriate support and advice.
You will also need to have a basic knowledge of the legal framework applicable to children who are looked after. Experience of working within a supervised family time environment is desirable. There is an expectation that you will hold a QCF level 3 in Children and Young People or gain this qualification within two years of employment and support is provided to achieve this.
