Lead a High-Performing Breeder Farm Team
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Farm Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of one of our breeder laying farms. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with poultry experience and strong leadership skills to play a key role in delivering excellent bird welfare, production performance, biosecurity standards, and team development.
Reporting to the Area Manager, you will lead a team of 7 people and take ownership of flock performance, farm operations, and continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily farm operations to achieve optimal flock performance, including hatching egg production and hatchability targets.
- Monitor bird health, behaviour, welfare, and environmental conditions, taking proactive action where required.
- Ensure strict compliance with biosecurity, health & safety, and welfare standards.
- Maintain Red Tractor and industry assurance scheme requirements.
- Lead, coach, train, and motivate a team of 7 employees.
- Maintain accurate records to support performance monitoring, stock control, and audit readiness.
- Work closely with the Area Manager, veterinary teams, and support functions.
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of equipment, ventilation systems, and farm infrastructure.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance farm performance and productivity.

What We're Looking For
- β Previous poultry experience, ideally within a breeder or laying environment
- β Farm management or supervisory experience
- β Strong leadership and people management skills
- β Practical, hands-on approach to problem solving
- β Excellent communication and organisational skills
- β Full UK Driving Licence
- β NVQ Level 3 in Poultry Management (or willingness to complete)
- β Commitment to continuous professional development
