Build a Career Outdoors with Our Pig Farming Team

Role Overview

Join our Outdoor Pig Farming Operations in Perth, Scotland, and become part of a supportive team within one of the food industry's leading businesses. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on, outdoor work and wants to develop practical skills in animal husbandry and agriculture.

Working closely with experienced colleagues, you'll be responsible for the daily care and welfare of livestock while helping to maintain a safe, efficient and well-presented farm environment. Previous agricultural experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Key Duties

  • Play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operation of our outdoor pig farming units
  • Work with pigs on an outdoor unit, including feeding, moving, serving, and handling
  • Maintain the highest standards of animal welfare
  • Follow Health and Safety procedures and promote a positive safety culture
  • Maintain the appearance and condition of the farm
  • Operate farm machinery safely and effectively
  • Support daily farming activities and operational requirements
  • Assist with monitoring livestock health and wellbeing
  • Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation

Ideal Candidate

  • Motivated, reliable, and eager to learn
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Reliable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Willing to learn new skills and follow established processes
  • Able to travel independently to remote farm locations
  • Experience working with livestock is beneficial but not essential
