About the Role
This is a varied and fast-paced role supporting the day-to-day activities of our trading team. You will play an important part in coordinating the movement of grain and other raw materials, working closely with farmers, suppliers, customers, hauliers and internal departments. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential, as you will be responsible for ensuring that plans and information are communicated clearly and efficiently across the business. Working closely with the Trading Director, you will help coordinate trading and logistics plans, liaise with suppliers and customers, and work alongside our haulage team to ensure transport requirements are met and the wider business operates smoothly. The role is primarily office-based, with occasional opportunities to visit both new and existing suppliers. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their knowledge, skills and experience within the agricultural and grain trading sector.

Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with farmers, suppliers, customers on a daily basis.
- Support the Trading Director in executing trading and logistics plans.
- Work closely with hauliers and the internal haulage department to coordinate collections and deliveries.
- Communicate plans and any changes clearly across relevant areas of the business.
- Help balance the requirements of the trading and haulage departments on a day-to-day basis.
- Accurately record and maintain information using Excel and our internal systems.
- Assist with general administration and other activities that support the wider trading operation.
- Develop an understanding of the grain trading process and, with experience, take responsibility for certain decisions and areas of the role.

Previous experience in agriculture would be an advantage, but it is not essential. Full training will be provided, so we are keen to hear from candidates who have the right attitude, communication skills and willingness to learn.
