Our Practice

Peakfield Farm Vets is a growing, proudly independent farm animal practice serving clients across Derbyshire and Staffordshire.

  • We work with a varied caseload, with a particular bias towards dairy.
  • Our clients range from top-quality grazing systems to large, proactive housed units and everything in between, meaning there is plenty of variety in the work we do.

As an independent practice, we value clinical freedom and encourage our vets to use their own professional judgement. We’re committed to providing excellent support to our team, while building strong, long-term relationships with our clients and the farming community.

The Role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Farm Veterinary Surgeon to join our growing team.

  • The role offers a varied farm animal caseload, with a strong focus on dairy work.
  • You’ll have the opportunity to develop your own areas of interest and play an active role in the continued growth of the practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
