Role Description
The Fashion Business & Commercial Development Associate is a part-time hybrid role based in London, with flexibility for some work from office. This role focuses on supporting commercial growth for fashion and retail clients through structured business development and market analysis. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market research, identifying and qualifying leads, preparing and delivering client-facing presentations, and supporting strategic proposals and pitch materials. The associate will collaborate closely with senior team members to evaluate business performance, identify opportunities for revenue growth, and help implement commercial initiatives. The role also involves maintaining clear communication with clients and partners, tracking key metrics, and contributing to the continuous improvement of Niche’s business development processes.
Qualifications
- Strong Presentation Skills and experience creating and delivering impactful Presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead Generation skills, including identifying prospects, building pipelines, and supporting outreach in fashion and retail markets.
- Market Research skills, including analysing trends, competitors, and customer behaviour in the fashion and retail industry.
- Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively and build professional relationships.
- Relevant experience in fashion, retail, or consumer goods commercial roles is highly beneficial.
- Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency with productivity tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, CRM platforms) are preferred.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and thrive in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is advantageous.

Niche LHC | London / Hybrid | Part-time
Niche LHC is looking for a commercially minded professional with existing experience in fashion and/or luxury to support business development, commercial research, client strategy and project development. This role sits firmly on the business side of fashion and luxury. We are looking for someone who can research markets and businesses, identify commercial opportunities, develop client and prospect intelligence, prepare strategic and commercial materials, and help move projects forward.
This is NOT a PR, communications, social media, influencer, editorial, styling or events role.
Key responsibilities
- Researching fashion and luxury brands, designers, retailers, businesses, clients and markets.
- Identifying and mapping relevant commercial opportunities and potential prospects.
- Preparing client, prospect, market and competitor intelligence.
- Supporting business development and opportunity development.
- Preparing presentations, proposals, briefing documents and commercial materials.
- Supporting client and prospect pipelines and ensuring follow-up actions are tracked.
- Researching potential partnerships, introductions and business opportunities.
- Supporting the development and execution of commercial projects.
- Coordinating research, meetings, information and deliverables across multiple projects.
- Working closely with the Niche LHC founder on preparation, analysis, recommendations and follow-through.

Essential experience
- Existing professional experience within fashion and/or luxury.
- Experience in a commercial or business-facing function, such as business development, commercial strategy, consulting, buying, merchandising, sales, wholesale, client development or commercial project management.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong presentation and spreadsheet skills.
- Ability to work independently from a brief and produce clear, useful outputs.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- Commercial judgement and genuine understanding of the fashion and luxury landscape.
- Professionalism, discretion and confidence working with senior stakeholders.
We are specifically not looking for
Candidates whose experience is predominantly in:
- PR
- Communications
- Social media
- Influencer marketing
- Content creation
- Editorial
- Styling
- Events
unless they also have substantial, demonstrable commercial or business-development experience within fashion or luxury.
The role
Approximately 20 hours per month, with flexibility around how the time is allocated according to project requirements.
This is an opportunity to work closely with Niche LHC across a varied portfolio of fashion and luxury projects, gaining direct exposure to commercial strategy, business development, client work and the wider luxury ecosystem. Professional fashion and/or luxury experience is essential.
