Whispering Smith

A third-generation British fashion group; home to 5 brands across menswear and womenswear. We design, produce and deliver at scale from our Manchester HQ and 500,000 sq ft warehouse, with showrooms and studios in London, New York, Düsseldorf, Hong Kong and Madrid.

We're hiring a full-time fashion photographer

To join our studio team on site in Manchester.

This is a high-volume e-commerce studio. On a shoot day you'll be turning around 30–40 looks, styling each one on set yourself — steaming, pinning and fitting garments so they photograph cleanly and present well commercially. You'll own the image from sample prep through to final retouch.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You'll be on set roughly 2–3 days a week, shooting e-commerce alongside brand, campaign and social content, then selecting, retouching and delivering the rest of the week.

Seasonal styling direction and the trend framework are set by the Brand Director. You interpret that direction on set. Scheduling, model bookings and studio logistics sit with the Studio Manager, who you'll work alongside day to day.

You'll also work closely with our social media manager across Brave Soul, Good For Nothing, Going Somewhere and Ruby Tuesday, ensuring each brand's story is told authentically.

What we're looking for

  • A portfolio of fashion and product work, including studio e-commerce
  • Proven pace experience of high-volume shoot days, with consistent quality from the first look to the last
  • On-set styling skills: garment preparation, fit, and an eye for what a piece needs to sit correctly on camera
  • Confidence with lighting, and adapting setups for different fabrics and finishes
  • Strong retouching and editing in Photoshop and Lightroom
  • A good understanding of composition, colour and commercial storytelling
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift
  • Knowledge of video content is an advantage.
