Job Summary
We are looking for engaging and enthusiastic Father Christmas actors to deliver magical and personalised Father Christmas experiences. You will be based in a grotto, that sits within the Winter Village, home to the Toy Workshop, Mrs Claus’ Bakery, and more. This is a fast-paced role, with up to three family bookings every 20 minutes. You will use provided information sheets to tailor each visit, creating memorable interactions for every child, alongside the assistance of a dedicated grotto elf.
You'll be required to improvise and have good time management, plus the ability to remain in character.

Key Responsibilities
- Acting in a warm and jolly manner in a provided Father Christmas costume
- Create a magical experience by recalling personalised details when interacting with children and adults
- Improvise and remain in character at all times
- Work with elves and Event Managers to ensure smooth timings and logistics
- Posing for images with our professional photographers and guest images
Requirements
Essential
- Must be able to convincingly portray Father Christmas
- A natural warmth, humour, and ability to engage children and adults in an appropriate manner
- Ability to recall personalised details ad improvise in character
- Ability to work in a team, working with timings set by grotto elves and Event Managers
- Availability to attend an in-person interview in Cheltenham
Desirable
- Previous experience in panto, theatre or other attractions is desirable, but not essential

Additional info:
- A training day will be provided before opening where you'll also be able to meet the Event Managers and other members of the cast
- No accommodation or travel expenses provided in addition to the fee
- On-site parking available
- Successful applicants will be sent an example “picking sheet” and asked to record a 5-minute video in character.
