Company Description

The Novotel London Bridge is a 4-star hotel located close to the South Bank (SE1 9HH) with Tate Modern, The Shard, and St Paul's Cathedral just around the corner. There are 182 chic bedrooms, Gourmet Bar and Restaurant, as well as a fitness centre.

This role will require you to work evenings and often finishing after 12am.

Job Description

Job Purpose

To support the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel bar, ensuring excellent guest service, high operational standards, and a positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the bar team during daily operations and service.
  • Ensure guests receive friendly, professional, and efficient service.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and stock checks.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, hygiene, and health & safety.
  • Prepare and serve drinks in line with hotel standards and responsible service requirements.
  • Monitor stock levels and minimize waste and breakages.
  • Train, coach, and support team members to improve performance and service standards.
  • Deal confidently with guest requests, feedback, and complaints.
  • Ensure all bar procedures and hotel policies are followed.
  • Support the F&B Manager with the smooth running of the department and act as a role model for the team.

Qualifications

Key Skills & Experience

  • Previous bar or F&B experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Confident, organized, and able to lead a team.
  • Good knowledge of drinks and bar service.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy hotel environment.
  • Professional attitude with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
