Join our team as a Financial Crime Controls Consultant and play a key role in protecting the organisation through the independent review and authorisation of high-risk customer relationships and financial crime decisions.

In this role, you will provide effective challenge, oversight, and assurance across complex AML (Anti-Money Laundering), sanctions, and financial crime investigations, ensuring outcomes are risk-based, evidence-led, and aligned with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and the Society’s risk appetite. You will be responsible for assessing high-risk cases, identifying potential control weaknesses, and delivering clear, well-reasoned decisions that support both risk management and fair customer outcomes.

  • Working closely with operational teams and senior stakeholders, you will use your financial crime expertise to influence decision-making, share best practice, and drive continuous improvement across the control environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills will be essential, as will the ability to provide constructive challenge while building effective working relationships across the business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
