Location: Warton- On Site, 5 days per week
Salary: £51,772+ (DOE)

Job Description:
Working within the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) programme, this role offers the opportunity to be part of an innovative and forward-thinking security function helping to protect people, information, technology and critical capabilities. As part of a growing multidisciplinary team, you will support the operation of access controls, sensitive information and security processes that enable some of BAE Systems' most significant and strategically important programmes to operate securely and effectively.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a modern, multinational approach to security, supporting highly sensitive and multi-layered defence programmes. Working closely with a range of stakeholders across the business, you will gain exposure to evolving security practices, develop specialist knowledge and play an important role in shaping and strengthening the future security framework of BAE Systems. Core duties:
- Support and deputise for Security Administration activities, overseeing access permissions to protect FCAS personnel, systems, information and assets
- Liaise with MOD Compartment Administrators to verify security clearances and maintain accurate access control
- Coordinate visitor access requests, information management activities and stakeholder communications across BAE Systems, MOD and industry partners
- Partner with business teams to ensure contractual security requirements are delivered within agreed timescales and standards
- Promote a positive security culture, supporting compliance with GovS 007 and BAE Systems policies while driving continuous improvement and reducing security risk

Essential Skills:
- Demonstrable experience working within secure, regulated environments, applying UK Government and Defence security policies and procedures
- Good understanding of access control, information security and classified material handling, supported by practical experience
- Demonstratable ability to maintain accurate records, coordinate sensitive information and uphold strict confidentiality standards
- Experience assessing security risks, identifying issues and implementing effective solutions to maintain compliance
- Ample written, verbal and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to provide guidance, influence outcomes and collaborate across business, government and industry partners
The FCAS Security Team:
This team sits at the centre of production operations, driving business integration, governance and operational excellence across multiple functions. By coordinating information flow, establishing standards and supporting strategic business goals, bids and continuous improvement activities, the team enables effective strategy-making and helps deliver successful programme and business outcomes.

These restrictions mean that factors such as your nationality, any nationalities you may have previously held, and your place of birth can restrict the roles you are eligible to perform within the organisation. All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
