Job Overview

The FDS Coordinator will actively manage the administrative processes attached to suspected prostate cancer patient pathways, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for both the multidisciplinary team and patients, in order to deliver a high-quality administration service, a positive patient experience, and excellent customer service.

• Provide an efficient and effective administrative service to a multidisciplinary team.
• Actively manage administrative processes and coordinate care associated with patient pathways, including validation, bookings and solving queries that arise.
• Ensure access and quality targets are met, identifying potential delays and escalating this to the operational management team.
• Provide patients with a primary point of contact between the multidisciplinary team and their colleagues, patients, relatives and GPs, providing relevant information and assisting with queries.

Main duties of the job

• To collect and provide good clinical and care pathway data and information management, for use by MDTs and to meet Trust audit requirements.
• To work across the Trust and Networks - liaising with MDT teams and colleagues at all levels, to ensure the timely care of patients.
• To achieve Cancer Waiting Time targets.
• To ensure timely delivery of care through tracking and navigating patients along the care pathway.
• Ensure access and quality targets are met, identifying potential delays and escalating this to a team leader or supervisor.
• To achieve high quality service, through the Peer Review.
