Role Description
This is for a Contract FEA Analyst at Value Design Ltd (Outside IR35) and is a 6 month contract (likely to extend). The FEA Analyst will perform structural simulations, build and refine finite element models, and interpret results to provide clear design recommendations to clients. Daily responsibilities include:
- Reviewing engineering drawings and specifications
- Setting up analysis cases and load conditions
- Running simulations
- Preparing concise technical reports
The role also involves collaborating with internal team members to clarify requirements, support design optimization, and ensure that analyses align with relevant international standards and industry best practices. The FEA Analyst is expected to manage multiple projects, meet agreed timelines, and maintain accurate documentation for all analyses undertaken.

Requirements
- Strong FEA skills, including model setup, meshing, boundary condition definition, and post-processing of structural results
- Applied engineering analysis skills to international design codes such as Eurocode 3 for example
- Proficiency with Solidworks Simulation & Solidworks CAD or Abaqus CAE
- Proficiency with creating Mathcad calculation reports
- Experience in nuclear, oil and gas or building services industries preferred
- UK based (living in UK), 100% WFH, and work Outside IR35
- A workstation or laptop capable of running FEA & CAD or be willing to purchase one
